This image was first drawn on paper then scanned to be coloured in photoshop. In photoshop I set a base colour then set a light source and shaded the picture with a low opacity brush. I then used blending layers set to hard light to colour the image. It is the first page of a book I am working on and sets the colour scheme, tone and style for the rest of the book.
